14 – Takeshi Kanamori   Leave a comment

Name : Takeshi Kanamori

Position : Forward

The second rookie player in 2013 along with Mishima he had an even more meteoric rise than his team-mate. Coming to the club from high school he has excellent pace, and seems to have absolutely no fear throwing himself at the ball and diving into tackles regardless of opponent.

He is still very raw but under the tutorship of Pusnik and after being given lots of chances in the first team he became one of the star players of the season. His season was capped off by scoring 4 goals in 4 games and earning a call-up to the Japan u-22 team and talk that he could be going to the Rio Olympics if he continues his development.

There are still some issues in his game; he sometimes dribbles at ineffective times, and doesn’t always release the ball when he should but being still 19 when players of a similar age often go through University in Japan he has time on his side to iron out any small problems.
