Ventforet Kofu   Leave a comment

One of the original members of J-league 2 they went through a long stage of being the worst team in the League and struggling to survive financially. Gradually getting themselves organised they managed to do what Tosu have failed at and promoted to J-League 1 in 2006.

After spending a couple of seasons back in the 2nd tier they were the brightest attacking team in 2010 and under the attacking prowess of Mike Havenaar and Paulinho they easily got promotion. Mike Havenaar looks like he could be useful for the National team and it is paramount for Kofu that they hold onto him. Genki Nagasato jumped ship from Avispa to try to make an attacking triumvirate in J1.

Take their name from the French for wind and forest.
