Despite being a young club Kawasaki have quickly established themselves as one of the stronger teams in J1 maintaining a top 5 finishing position for the last 5 years ending up as runners-up 3 times.
Twinned with Gremio in Brazil they wear the same Blue and Black colours and have some exciting attacking players from Brazil.
They have strong ties to the Fujitsu company having previously been known as Fujitsu FC until their admission into the J-League in 1997.
I’m not sure on the significance of naming themselves after the Italian word for frontal.
