The easiest way to get to Level 5 stadium from central Fukuoka is to catch the subway to the airport and walk up to the stadium.
To get to the airport from Tenjin or Hakata (the main stations in the middle of Fukuoka) you need to use the Kuko line and stay on the train until the last stop (Fukuoka Kuko – 250yen).
If you exit the underground station at Exit 4 there is a shuttle bus which takes you direct to the front of the stadium.
You can also walk to the stadium in about 15 minutes. At the airport you should turn left after leaving the ticket gates and walk all the way down to Exit number 4.
Turn left out of the top of the stairs to walk along a main road, passing a taxi office and Rent-a-Car businesses.
Continue to walk along this main road alongside the airport runway for about 10 minutes until you get to a 7-11 on your left. This is the last convenience store before the stadium. You can take food into the stadium, but not cans. They have given me paper cups before to pour beer into before going in, but I can’t guarantee that they would always do this.
Turn left at the junction with the 7-11 and walk about 2 minutes up to the first set of traffic lights. Turn right here and you can see the stadium.
The whole walk from the airport to stadium should take about 15 minutes.
