vs. Yokohama F Marinos (training match)   Leave a comment

The biggest test for the pre-season came on Saturday as the team faced J1 heavy-weights Yokohama Marinos at Sea-Gaia in Miyazaki.
It came on the same day as a morning match against Volca Kagoshima, and as predicted the day was being played as 2 full 90 minute matches.

As you might expect the team facing Yokohama was the stronger of the 2, although not what I would consider the full first team, and played as follows…

…………….Kawata
Oh……Kobara…..Yamaguchi……Omata
……..Sueyoshi…..Suzuki Jun…
Naruoka……..Yutaka………Sakata
…………….Jogo

That looks like it may well be the starting midfield-attack against Roasso, but think the defence and keeper may be mixed up.

Yokohama were playing a pretty strong team themselves, albeit one which had Rokutan in goal and Nakamachi getting half a game.
………….Rokutan
Kurihara…..Higa…..Kobayashi…Tomisawa
……..Nakamachi….Hyodo
Saito……..Marquinos……….??????.
…………..Oguro….

Defence seemed to get the better of attack for most of the game, with Kazuki spending most of his time trying to deal with Marquinos on his return to Japanese football.
Naruoka scored the only goal of the game after 36 minutes of the 2nd half, and was descrobed as the key-man in most of what was good about Avispa overall in the report which I read.

Rokutan can’t have enjoyed spending 90 minutes in a losing team against his old club, but at least he can say he has work the Yokohama shirt, which is more than he will manage for the rest of this season.

The result in the morning game was much less positive, with Volca Kagoshima winning against the Avispa second string 4-0, after winning both halves 2-0. Not really surprising with a very young squad out, but it would have been nice if they had at least scored a goal.

Training match striker watch….(Which 2 (or 4 if we include the wingers) will play against Kumamoto!)
#1 Ishizu – 3 goals
#1 Sakata – 3 goals
#1 Takahashi – 3 goals
#4 Jogo – 1 goal
#4 Ushinohama – 1 goal
#4 Naruoka – 1 goals
#7 Nishida – 0 goals
#7 Yoshihara – 0 goals
