vs. Omiya Ardija (ratings)   Leave a comment

Kamiyama – 7 Didn’t have a huge amount to do, but dealt with everything presented to him. The defence have much more confidence in him now.

Wada – 7 Provided less in attack, but defended well for the most part. Got tricked in the box late on by their right winger.

Tatsunori – 8 A good game. Defended well, and provided support in attack, especially when Yusuke came on with their good understanding.

Daiki – 8 A second dominant performance, and rallied the team well as Captain. When he plays well the team does, it just hasn’t been often enough this season.

Kobara – 7 Very lucky not to give away a penalty to Rafael, but was in position and confident enough to make the tackle which prevented a goal even if it was a foul.

Sueyoshi – 7 Maybe he just needed a break earlier in the season as he has come back in with much more running. Still needs a little more running to fufil what would be his best position as a defensive midfielder.

Suzuki – 7 The partnership he has had with Sueyoshi in the last 2 games is really promising. Both are capable of classy diagonal balls and good set-piece delivery. Both need to improve their energy and tackling.

Matsuura – 8 Really well taken goal, and held the ball up well on his own at times. Helps in defence a lot. Still want to see him hit the corners more.

Jogo – 8 When he is playing with confidence he is a good level J1 striker. Very classy finish for his goal, and harried the defence throughout. We have options in attack, if he only lasts 75 minutes buts runs more that is fine.

Naruoka – 7 Asked to play on the right again which isn’t good for him but he doesn’t hide. Much better in the middle and played a crucial part in drawing 2 defenders for Jogo’s goal.

Shigematsu – 6 Isn’t as good as I hoped he would be when I was calling for him mid-season, but something he is doing must be working. In 4 games he has started, 2 wins and 2 draws?

Yusuke – 9 Can’t do much more than come on at half time and provide 2 great assists to the feet in the box. Used his pace more today.

Nakamachi – 6Lack of confidence? Lack of form? He was who we built the team around when we came up, not sure what to make of it.

Hideya – 6 Late sub. Probably his best role.

Asano – 8 Kept faith with a winning team and was rewarded with a first away win. Would have been a 9 if he had played Kim Min Je who must get more time than he is now even if Wada had done nothing wrong.
