Training matches (results)   Leave a comment

Nothing too much of note to report during the international break (Avispa is a long way from having any players who might come back injured from one), but there have been some training matches taking place.

The first was against the Japan U-22 team who are presumably trying to get some better understanding ahead of the Olympics. Not as easy game, but one which Avispa managed to win which should be a boost to confidence.

Avispa Fukuoka 1 – 0 Japan U-22
53′ Naruoka

The other matches were against local University opposition which you would expect Avispa to win, but isn’t always the case. Two matches were played on the same day with different teams in each, with Avispa winning both games to bring 3 welcome wins in preparation for the game against Yokohama at the weekend.
Hopefully Asano has learned a little more about the squad and we can see it looking fresh and hungry.

Avispa 2 – 1 Fukuoka University of Education
7′ Student, 15′ Nakamachi, 19′ Naruoka

Avispa 3 – 0 Japan University of Economics
7′ Jogo, 66′ Own Goal, 69′ Hideya
