vs. Cerezo (youtube)   4 comments

Some fairly painful viewing, but I hope the couple of chances we got at the start of the match when playing more like a 442 aren’t forgotten.

  1. Thanks for sharing this. Is there a Japanese equivalent of Match of the Day? It’d be nice to see more highlights from the matches, as its notoriously hard to find any J-League highlights, Avispa being no exception. If you could upload some highlights it would be much appreciated.

Great blog by the way, I’ve really enjoyed reading it. I think you’re the only consistent source on Avispa in English on the internet.

    • This is from a TV show called J-League After Game Show which is on every Saturday and Sunday and shows highlights from all the J1 and J2 games.

As far as I know it doesn’t get uploaded as a whole thing. You can see all/most of the actual games here though…. J-League videos

  2. Hey guys,

I’ve started to notice that the rising sun website is beginning to have more links to YouTube clips of highlights of most if not all J1 matches.

On another note, anyone think a change of manager may help? Seems to me we have been competitive enough in quite a few matches however defensively we are not solid enough and mentally we are too soft!

  3. Yeah, the Rising Sun does link from their good match reports by clicking on the video camera between the team line-ups. Can’t find highlights from the Kobe game anywhere though.

I haven’t been a big fan of the manager at times this season and next (I’d like to see more faith in youth, and a proper striker being played), but he seemed to sort the team out a bit against Kobe so he has more time from me. I don’t know why he won’t bring in any foreign players, but he might be under big financial constraints.
