vs. Sendai (player ratings)   Leave a comment

Kamiyama – 7 Actually did ok in this game. Made a couple of blocks after making himself big, and claimed a couple of crosses. Fouled for the goal.

Kim Min Je – 7 As in almost every game this season, one of Avispa’s better players. Will only be at the club for 1 season if we go down.

Tatsunori – 6 Did ok in attack and defence. Could have been sent off on a different day.

Daiki – 6 Should have opened the scoring with a free header after 5 minutes, and had another chance later. Needs to start dominating defence more.

Yamaguchi – 6 Is doing OK having come in as back-up, but is probably playing at close to his maximum. Tries hard, but isn’t really J1 standard.

Sueyoshi – 6 Tackled better than previously, but I’d still like more bite from the more defensive central midfielder. One decent shot, one really tame effort at the end.

Nakamachi – 7 Had looked like he could drive us towards a win with his energy in the first half but came striaght off with an injury before half-time.

Yusuke – 5 What has happened to this guy? He used to be full of energy and very fast. Now playing more like an orthodox winger and looks ineffective.

Hideya – 6 Did OK when he got the ball, but that wasn’t often enough. Needs to make things happen, either by dropping deep to get the ball, or getting in the box to make a target. At the moment does neither.

Matsuura – 5 Couldn’t beat his man again today, and doesn’t really have a plan B if this isn’t working. Kept asking for the ball and tried hard.

Jogo – 4 Touched the ball less than 10 times all match. I have no idea where he was or what he was doing for the rest of the time. Should be given the ball more, but needs to show he wants it too.

Suzuki Jun – 6 Huge opportunity to put himself in the first team picture. Did OK, and showed he can pick a pass to play people through. Huge quality on set-pieces. Still needs more dynamism, must build this on the training ground through really hard work or won’t ever make it.

Shimizu – 5 Made no difference when he came on. Tried a clever quick free-kick, but I think his legs are gone.

Takahashi – 4 Did nothing in the 10 minutes he had.

Shinoda – 5 Why take Naruoka if he isn’t going to be used in a match which really needs quality up front. If he isn’t match fit then take Yoshihara, if he is match fit then throw him on with 10 minutes to go and see what he can do. Maybe still carrying an injury, if so shouldn’t have travelled.
