No goals in the game last Saturday, but these were the best chances for Avispa to take the points.
Consadole Sapporo had better chances, but I didn’t bother filming them.
Early corner aimed at Daiki missed at the far post.
Late freekick on the edge of the box after Daiki had pushed forwards in search of a goal. Wasted by Tatsunori who blasts it straight at the wall.
In the last minute Suzuki Jun came on to immediately take 2 corners. The first is a really good delivery with his great left foot, the one from the other side is wasted and the referee blows for full time soon after.
Kamiyama – 8 Made important saves when he needed to, never looked troubled, and now has the total confidence of his defence.
Nakajima – 7 Consadole played very narrow and didn’t trouble him defensively, but would have liked to see him overlap more.
Tatsunori – 7 Similar to Nakajima. Never in a lot of trouble defensively, but in a game like today should have been busting a gut to get beyond Kudo.
Daiki – 8 Sound defensively and was the one player really pushing forward for a winning goal towards the end.
Makoto – 9 The stand-out player today. Marshalled the defence, and gave something in attack. 1st half in particular was very good.
Abe Shu – 7 Didn’t offer much in attack, but helped defensively.
Nakamachi – 7 A quiet game. Did nothing wrong, and he is still the player that others look for, but by his standards a quiet game.
Kudo – 7 Worked very hard for his last ever game, but not really effective. Would have come off 25 minutes earlier if it wasn’t his last game.
Genki – 7 The only player willing to take a shot at times, and also taking up good positions in attack often. Unfortunately not being found by teammates when in these good positions.
Jogo – 6 Only seems to be able to score one type of goal, running onto a ball on the edge of the box. Had noe chance like that in this game, but narrowly missed.
Jumbo – 5 Not his worst game, but is easily handled by defences with a physical presence.
Yutaka – 6 On for Jumbo. Still looks able to score chances, but very much a “fox in the box”, rather than helping to create.
Yusuke – 6 On for Kudo. Would have had more of a chance if it wasn’t Kudo’s last game. Not sure if he touched the ball.
Suzuki Jun – 7 On for Abe Shu. Only on for 1 minute but delivered one of the best chances to win with his corner delivery. Should have started.
Shinoda – 6 Hamstrung a little by correctly wanting to give Kudo as much chance as possible to enjoy his last game. Should have had a more attacking outlook from the start given the league situation.
